Vikas Dubey encounter: Well-planned conspiracy or genuine accident?

Noted gangster Vikas Dubey was shot in a police encounter on Friday morning. The MP Police had handed over the gangster to Kanpur Police on Thursday after he was arrested from Mahakaal temple in Ujjain. According to the reports, the incident took place when the Police Van skidded and overturned on the way to Kanpur due to high speed and foggy weather. 
Taking the advantage of the situation, Dubey tried to flee and opened fire on the Police, and later was shot back in self-defence. He was then taken to the hospital along with 4 injured policemen, where he was declared dead. 
Reacting on the incident, IG Kanpur Mohit Agarwal said, “4 policemen were injured in the accident today. Vikas Dubey has been killed in a police encounter.”
The Kanpur police later released a statement saying, “The car overturned and policemen and the accused were injured. Then Vikas Dubey grabbed a gun from an injured policeman and ran. The police team caught up and surrounded him and tried to get him to surrender, but he refused and started firing. The police had to fire back in self-defence.”
The statement further added, “Vikas Dubey was injured and taken to hospital. He died during treatment.”

Soon after the incident, opposition party started pointing fingers at the ruling BJP party. Allegations are been rose stating that it was a well-planned conspiracy. Samajwadi Chief Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, “Actually the car did not turn turtle, the government has been saved before the secret got revealed.”
Similarly, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had also tweeted, “The criminal is no more, what about the crime and the people who shielded him?”
Notably, Dubey has over 62 criminal cases against him, including five cases of murder and eight cases of attempt to murder and carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head. He was arrested under the UP Gangsters’ Act, Goonda Act, and the National Security Act.
