Turkish hackers take over Big B’s microblogging site; Maharashtra cybercrime unit restores account
Mega Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan’s twitter handle @SrBachchan that was allegedly taken over by pro-Pakistan Turkish hackers on late Monday night has been restored by Maharashtra cybercrime units. The posts made by the hackers have also been deleted.
The hacker’s group that calls itself Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Armny (sic) changed the profile picture of Big B with that of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and also modified the bio with ‘Actor...well at least some are STILL saying so!! Love Pakistan.”
The hackers tweeted a couple of posts about the supposedly harsh treatment recently meted out to Turkish soccer players at the hands of Iceland. They tweeted, “This is an important call to the whole world! We condemn the behaviours of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big Cyber attack here. As Ayyildiz Tim Turkish cyber Armny+++.”
According to reports, the group even changed the veteran’s bio to ‘Love Pakistan’ with an emoji of a Turkish flag and also condemned the Indian government for its attitude towards Muslims. The tweet read, “The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid.”
The same group was earlier responsible for taking over the accounts of actors Anupam Kher and Shahid Kapoor.
