‘Sooryavanshi’ to get a later release date as Coronavirus spreads its wings

The Coronavirus outbreak is compelling the entertainment industry to reschedule its release dates and cancel or postpone its film festivals and other events. The industry is already bearing the brunt with several of its movies not getting an overseas audience as several nations have ordered a lockdown and closed their theatres in an effort to stop the spread of the deadly disease. According to the latest reports, the virus has infected around 73 lives in several states of the country with fresh cases being reported and confirmed every few hours.

Now reports claim that Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi that was scheduled for March 24 release and Ranveer Singh’s 83 scheduled for April 10 release have been postponed for a later date. However, the later date has not been announced yet.

Similarly, Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (May 22 release), Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj (November 13 release) and Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (July 31 release) have been changing shooting locations due to the epidemic.
Not only this, even actress Deepika Padukone recently cancelled her trip to Paris Fashion Week where she was to attend Louis Vuitton’s FW2020. Meanwhile, even Hollywood actor Tom Hanks has tweeted that his wife Rita Wilson and he have tested positive for the disease.
Also, filmmaker Karan Johar's upcoming flick Takht, whose principal photography was scheduled to begin in the first week of March, is also suffering due to the virus.

Even big-time Bollywood events and concerts have been facing the wrath of the virus. Touted as Bollywood’s Oscar, International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) that was scheduled to take place in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore from March 27 to 29 too has been postponed.
The first-ever live music concert - Disco Dancer – that was supposed to take place from March 26 to 29 in Mumbai and from April 17 to 19 in Delhi has been cancelled.
