Salman Khan’s Reddy co-star Mohit Baghel dies of cancer
Reddy co-star and comedian Mohit Baghel passed away on Saturday at the age of
27. He was suffering from cancer.
Those close to Baghel said that he underwent chemotherapy around 11 am today at a hospital in Noida and passed away a couple of hours later. He was a native of Banaras in Uttar Pradesh.
The news of his demise was announced by writer, director of Comedy Circus and Comedy Nights with Kapil, Raaj Shaandilyaa on social media.
Shaandilyaa tweeted, “Mohit, my brother what was the hurry to leave? I told you that the entire industry had stopped for you; get well and come back to work. You are a good actor, and so I will wait for you on the sets of the next film. And you will have to come.”Baghel had recently bagged a role in Yash Raj Film’s forthcoming release Bunty Aur Babli 2 starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles.
Baghel started his career with comedy show Chote Miyan and then got his first Bollywood break in Salman Khan starrer blockbuster Ready and later in Jai Ho.
Mohit was recently seen in Parineeti Chopra and Siddharth Malhotra starrer film Jabariya Jodi. Parineeti tweeted, “One of the nicesttt people to work with! Happy, positive and motivated always. Love you Mohit. RIP”
Vice-President of Mumbai Mahila Congress and Former Advisory Panel Member of Film Censor Board Gurpreet Kaur Chadha wrote on social media, “Never thought in my dreams also that we will loose you so soon, An actor who showed his amazing acting skills in #Ready film with @BeingSalmanKhan A great friend, brother and superb human.”
