Salman Khan’s Eid gift Bharat a super hit at box office
Salman Khan’s Eid gift Bharat released on Wednesday. The film opened to a bumper start at the Box Office across India with 60-65 per cent occupancy in early morning shows. The film is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film released in over 75 locations in Saudi Arabia. It released in around 70 countries overseas with over 1300 screens.
The action-packed film revolves around an eight-year-old boy named Bharat who has promised his father to keep his family united. Little Bharat, who is also a victim of India-Pak partition, a lovelorn, struggles hard to keep his promise for the next 60 years (from 1940 to 2010s) with destiny flinging new set of challenges every time. His sincerity and never dying spirit is a reflection of the fundamental qualities of our nation Bharat and thus the tagline of the film ‘Journey of a man and a nation together’.
Though the film has a strong storyline it sometimes is dragging and then there are some tear-soaked moments as well. Of course, they went gaga over Salman and Katrina Kaif’s performance and even Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff have played their characters really well. Music has been given by Vishal Shekhar. Both Katrina (Kumud) and Bharat together share the screen space making the most of it.
Bharat is Salman Khan’s first ever film to be released in UAE and Gulf and the biggest release in Australia.
The film is jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan under the Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-series banner.
