Rajasthan’s Suman Rao crowned Femina Miss India World 2019
Suman Rao, a student of CA from Rajasthan, has been crowned FBB Colors Femina Miss India World 2019 at a glittering ceremony held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday. She will now represent India at Miss World Contest in Pattaya inThailand, Bangkok.
The 20-year-old was among the 30 participants to have contested from across India. During her brief stint after being crowned she said, “It still hasn’t sunk in. I feel that I have become a ray of hope to the society where I come from and now other young women like me will never be afraid to follow their dreams. My family and friends are thrilled and I can’t wait to celebrate with them.”
Earlier, she bagged the Miss India Rajasthan 2019 title as well.
Similarly, Chhattisgarh’s Shivani Jadhav, an engineer was bestowed with the title Miss Grand India 2019, while student of management Shreya Shanker from Bihar won the Miss India United Continents 2019 title and Telangana’s Sanjana Vij was the Miss India Runner up 2019.
The contestants were adjudged by a panel consisting personalities from different walks of life including, designer Falguni Shane Peacock, Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponca de Leon, actors Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, Aaush Sharma, choreographer-filmmaker Remo D’Souza, sprinter Dutee Chand and football captain Sunil Chhetri.
Showstoppers Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Nora Fatehi and Mouni Roy gave scintillating performances during the show. The show was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and actor-anchor Maniesh Paul along with Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar.
