Political veterans, ex-PM Manmohan Singh, Mulayam Singh Yadav hospitalised; Ajit Jogi on ventilator

Manmohan Singh (87) was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) on Sunday around 8.45 pm after complaining of chest pain due to
reaction to certain medicines. The veteran Congress leader is undergoing
treatment at the cardio neurosciences department and is under the supervision
of Dr Nitish Naik.
After the news circulated in the political circles, leaders from different parties wished him a speedy recovery.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, “Deeply concerned about Dr Manmohan Singh ji’s health. Hope he makes a full recovery soon. All of India is praying for our former PM.”On the other hand, Chhattisgarh former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, who was admitted to Shree Narayana Hospital in Raipur on Saturday slipped into coma on Sunday night and has been put on ventilation. Doctors said that the next 48 hours will be crucial as they will be monitoring how well the ex-CM responses to the treatment.
Senior National Congress leader, Omar Abdullah tweeted, “Sorry to hear about Dr Manmohan Singh being admitted to hospital. I hope he recovers & is back home with his family soon. His wise counsel & guidance are much needed during this time of crisis.”
Meanwhile, the founder of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh too was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow on Sunday night after complaints of stomach related ailment. This is the second time he has been hospitalised within a week.
