Kohli’s majestic performance against West Indies makes India proud at Hyderabad

In the first T-20 International match on Friday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Captain, Skipper Virat Kohli scored majestic not-out 94 runs off 50 balls against the West Indies and bagged ‘Man of the Match’ award for the 12th time. With this, Kohli became to have a maximum number of ‘Man of the Match’ award in the T-20 International sharing the record with Afganistan’s Mohammad Nabi.
West Indies played with full vigour in the first innings and scored 207 runs for 5 wickets. In second innings, Virat Kohli came to the pitch and turned the table in favour of India with 6 sixes and 6 fours for an unbeaten 94. KL Rahul had a crucial knock with 62 runs.
India achieved the target with 209 runs in 18.4 overs. This was India’s biggest win chasing the runs in T-20 Internationals.
Also, Chahal gave two blows to the West Indies on Friday. In this way, he also increased his total number of wickets to 52 in T20 cricket. He has taken these wickets in 35 matches at an average of 21.21.
India and West Indies will now face off in the second match on Sunday.
