Informal meet between PM Modi, Chinese prez Jinping to be held at Mamallapuram, TN
The two-day informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese president Xi Jinping will be hosted at the ancient Pallava-era coastal town of Mamallapuram near Chennai in Tamil Nadu in October this year. The meet has been scheduled between October 11 and 13 and arrangements are being supervised at the highest levels of the Central and state governments.
Sources reveal that during the summit the leaders are likely to visit the ancient monuments classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site in the coastal town. It may be noted that during the first informal summit between the two leaders was held in Wuhan in China on April 27-28 last year and the leaders visited the Hubei provincial museum. During the sessions, the leaders exchanged views on overarching issues of bilateral and global importance and to elaborate their respective visions and priorities for national development in the context of the current and future international situation.
