Good Newwz, Dream Girl to get re-release in UAE
Two laugh-riots, Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz and Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl, will re-release on June 11 in Dubai, UAE. The filmmakers– Raj Mehta and Raaj Shaandilyaa announced the re-release of the films after Baaghi 3’s re-release received a good response from UAE audience.
Notably, UAE has lifted the lockdown restrictions and reopened its theaters on May 27 to start a re-run of blockbuster hits. Since then a lot of producers are contemplating a second-run of their films.
The Head of Global Syndication & International Film Distribution Zee Entertainment Vibha Chopra said, “The world has been going through a tough time. The re-release of Good Newwz and Dream Girl is an opportunity for the audiences to take a break from the chaotic scenario and experience the joy of watching films on the big screen, keeping health and safety at the forefront.”
Akshay Kumar through a statement said, “Dubai has always given so much love to my films. The re-release of Good Newwz is special, especially during such times. I hope it manages to entertain the audience once again.”
While Good Newzz was originally released on December 27 and did a business of Rs 318.57, Dream Girl was released on 13 September 2019, and did a business of Rs 200.8 crore.
Similarly, the makers of ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Iron Man-3’ are set to re-release the $1 billion club movies in Hong Kong after theaters reopened from May 28.
