Global Coronavirus count crosses 33 lakhs; US alone has over 11 Lakh cases
Over 33,34,406 positive
cases have been reported globally and around 2,38,787 lost their lives ever
since Novel Coronavirus started spreading its tentacles. The pandemic has even
crushed the world’s best and most strong economies.
Even after months, America stands the most affected with over 11,31,492 confirmed cases and over 65,000 deaths, while Span has over 2,42,988 cases, and Italy and UK reported 2,07,428 and 1,77,454 cases respectively.
A day before yesterday, the US President Donald Trump once again reiterated that Coronavirus was developed in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology and also accused the World Health Organisation (WHO) for delaying in announcing it as an international public health emergency. However, on Friday, WHO intervened and took sides with China stating that it believes the virus is ‘natural in origin’.
In a digital meet, Trump said, "I think that the World Health Organization should be ashamed of themselves because they are like the public relations agency for China."
Trump said there was enough evidences that the virus was man-made, but said that he wasn’t going to reveal everything at this stage. He added that the intelligence community will continue to rigorously examine emerging information and intelligence to determine whether the outbreak began through contact with infected animals or if it was the result of an accident at a laboratory in Wuhan.
