Get soaked in Christmas spirit
Christmas is finally here and the choirs singing the popular Austrian Christmas carols such as ‘Silent Night’ and the peppy ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ in different localities have surrounded us with festive cheer - reminding us of our school days. Today, though the ways to celebrate the birth of Jesus may have gone technical with messages on Whatsapp and social media networks taking on, the essence remains intact.
The streets are laden with Santa caps and masks while the people are busy making the most of online shopping discounts being offered. The malls and big markets are all decked up with Christmas trees and glitters and the shops that are packed with pinecones, stockings, tinsels and colored shiny balls scented candles and more are busy entertaining customers.
At several places, Santa Claus with his huge belly and bag full of gifts for all can be seen jubilantly dancing and singing along as his Rudolph-the red-nosed led eight reindeers to pull him on mechanized trails today.
Not only this, even the restaurants are chipping into the festive mood and have altered their menu for the entire week. Some of the mouth-watering Christmas dishes include Guava-cheese, a variety of puddings and other delicacies.
So, just let your hair down and get drenched in the Christmas mood and set the mood to welcome 2020.
