Digvijay worries over winning of ideology of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassinator; Accuses BJP of trying to steal legislators
Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh expressed his concern on Friday saying the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassinator has won and the ideology of father of the nation is lost. He said so while addressing a group of media persons.
Referring to the hugely controversial statement Sadhvi Pragya Thakur during the Lok Sabha elections in which she said that Nathuram Godse was a true patriot, Singh said, “I accept the people’s verdict but what worries me is that the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassinator has won.”
Expressing his surprise over BJP’s win he said, “In 2014 their slogan was 280 plus and they achieved it. This election it was 300 plus and they got this one too. What magic wand does BJP have that predict so accurately.”
He also charged the BJP of trying to win over loyalties. He said,
“The BJP is still not able to get to terms with the fact that they lost the Assembly elections. They are offering huge amounts to our legislators, but we have loyal people around us.”
