Classic Paint to remain in Windows 10

With the release of Windows 10 in July 2017, Microsoft announced that the classic Windows Paint application would be deprecated and eventually removed in later versions. It also promoted its Paint 3D app as a replacement and for those who still wished to work on the classic version; they could download it from MS store.

Microsoft added a product alert button stating that paint will soon be moving to the store and the download would be free once it moves there, says a report. However, for the past few months, the button went missing from Windows 10 Insider builds for version 1903.

Through a tweet, Microsoft’s senior programme manager Brandon LeBlanc confirmed that it would remain included in Windows 10 for now.
