Chinese woman dislocates jaw after laughing too hard
A woman was left with an open jaw that wouldn’t close after she had a hearty laugh while travelling in a train on Sunday. The passenger had boarded the train from Kunming South and was heading to Guangzhour South Railway station.
The incident was reported to the train authorities who announced sent a distress call on board.
Incidentally, Dr. Luo Wensheng of Liwan hospital, who was also travelling in the same train heard the announcement and rushed to her carriage to find that the woman could not speak or close her mouth. He said, “She was drooling, so I initially thought she had a stroke. But her blood pressure seemed to be normal and realized she had dislocated her jaw.”
The doctor reset her jaw on his second try while she was distracted. The passenger’s kin informed that she had dislocated her jaw previously as well when she repeatedly vomited during pregnancy. Dr. Wensheng, however, warned the passenger to seek immediate medical help from an expert.
