China warns of reverse actions if India hampers Huawei business

After Trump administration banned China’s smartphone producer – Huawei, over security issues and asked other nations to restrict the telecom firm’s operations, China is now pressurising India into using Huawei for its 5G infrastructure. In an undertone, China has conveyed to India that if it hampers its Huawei Technologies from operating, the Indian firms operating n China could also face stiff action and even a ‘reverse action’.

The US blacklisted the company in May stating concerns over national security and that it could be used for spying. The US asked its allies and friends including India to block the entry of Huawei.
On the other hand, China has denied the US claims stating that the equipments from the manufacturers are just as safe as any other provider.

Sources reveal that India is yet to take a call on the same on whether it intends to allow the Chinese telecom equipment maker to participate in the upcoming 5G trials or not. Reports claimed that Indian ambassador in Beijing Vikram Misri was summoned to the Chinese Foreign Ministry on July 10 to hear China’s concerns about the US campaign to keep Huawei out of 5G mobile infrastructure worldwide.
