BMW’s new beast X5 arrives loaded with exciting features
India’s second largest carmaker, BMW has come up with its latest addition to the fourth generation sports utility vehicle (SUV) X5. The beast was launched by former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday. Priced between Rs 72.9 lakh to Rs 82.4 lakh, X5 is one of the 12 cars that BMW plans to launch in India this financial season. It is packed with new features and is slightly longer and wider than its previous models, says a report.
The SUV is available in two diesel models – BMW X5 x Drive30d Sport and BMW X5x Drive30dxLine. The petrol variant BMW X5 xDrive 40i M Sport has also been launched at Rs 82.40 lakh.
The model has a wheelbase of 2,975 mm which is 32 mm wider and taller than the previous models and makes it the largest X5 ever designed. However, the boot remains the same as was in the earlier ones leaving the additional leg space to the rear seat passengers. The interiors have been given a complete makeover including the driver seat, centre console unit and screen, says a report.
