Assamese sprinter Hima Das dropped from Doha World Championship

Ace sprinter Hima Das will not compete at the Doha World Championship 2019 due to lower back pain. The championship will be held from September 27 to October 6.
The 19-year-old Assamese athlete suffered the injury in the Asian Championships in Doha in April following which she pulled out of the individual 400m midway from the games.
The news was announced on Wednesday by Athletics Federation of India (AFI) on twitter. It tweeted, “Unfortunately 400 m athlete Hima Das will not compete at the World Championship 2019 in Doha due to back injury.
However, Jisna Mathew, MR Poovamma, Revathi Veeramani, Subha Venkatesan, V K Vismaya and Ramraj Vithya’s names have been incorporated for the women's 4x400m relay race. Meanwhile, Jisna, Poovamma, and Vismaya were named along with Jacob Amoj, Muhammed Anas and Noah Tom Nirmal in the initial list for 4x400 m mixed relay race.
