Adani slashes CNG, PNG rates; effective from April 9

The Adani Gas Limited (AGL) has announced the reduction in Compressed natural Gas (CNG) and Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) prices for the benefit of its consumers. The reduction will be effective across its various geographical areas with effect from April 9, Thursday. 

The reductions in CNG and PNG prices have come after the government cut the price paid for natural gas produced from domestic fields by 26% to $2.39 per million British thermal unit which was made effective from April 1

The company retails CNG to automobiles in select districts of Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
According to a statement issued by the company, the CNG prices in Mahendragarh, Haryana has been reduced by Rs 3.60 per kg making it Rs 54.20 per kg, while in Faridabad and Khurja areas the reduction is by Rs 2.75 per kg making it to Rs 48.02 per kg. Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind and Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi the CNG can be availed at Rs 63.40 per kg after a reduction of Re 1.5 per kg. In Ahmedabad and Vadodara areas of Gujarat the price has been reduced by Rs 2.25 per kg. 
The reduction in Domestic PNG prices is Rs 1.0 per Standard Cubic Meter (SCM) across all geographical areas where it has its existence. 
According to the statement, in view of the Covid-19 pandemic the company has also assured better convenience and increased digital payment facilities, safety and reliability of uninterrupted PNG supplies on 24x7.  Last week Indraprastha Gas limited (IGL) too announced reduction in CNG prices for its consumers.
