Woman paraded naked and beaten by mob in Bihar on suspicion of murder

A woman was allegedly beaten up and paraded naked by mob on the streets of Bihar’s Bhojpur district on suspicion to be involved in the death of 16-year old boy, who had gone missing since Monday and was last seen with the woman. He was found dead near a railway track on Tuesday morning.

The protestors set ablaze several stalls, houses, and motorcycles beside blocking the main road and Patna-Buxar railway tracks, which paused the traffic for more than three hours, said Police.

They also pelted stones on passenger trains and police. Security has beenbeefed up in and around Bihiya following the clashes.

Inspector General of Police, N.H Khan said the woman has been rescued from the rampaging mob and four policemen, including Bihiya SHO, have been suspended for dereliction of duty.

Reportedly, Bimlesh Kumar aka Chhotu Sao, a resident of Damodarpur village of Bhojpur district, was allegedly assaulted and murdered by some unidentified person in Dafli locality. His dead body was found near Bihiya Railway Station.

The Dafli locality is known as a red light area. The deceased, an Intermediate student, had supposedly gone to meet the woman there with whom he was last seen.

So far, Police have detained at least 13 people including local Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, identified as Kishori Yadav, for getting involved in stripping and parading a woman naked on suspicion of murder.
