Virat Kohli presented with player of the year trophies

Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli was presented with the International player of the year for 2017-18 by England’s Barmy Army on Wednesday. India is currently playing warm-up matches against Essex before the five-test series against England.

The BCCI shared the picture of the Indian skipper being presented with the prizes on its official Twitter account on Wednesday.


During India’s warm-up match for the tour vs. Essex, Kohli had a great day scoring half-century as the visitors finished the three-day opening match on 322-6.

This year, Kohli has played a total of 19 matches across all formats and scored 1181 runs with an average of 65.61 runs per match including 4 centuries and 4 half-centuries.

India is currently on a full-fledged tour in England for the Test series scheduled to start from August 1. Earlier, team India have won the T20I series 2-1 and lost the ODI series by the same margin.
