SpaceX gets its first private passenger, things to know

SpaceX has signed its first ever private pasenger to travel around the moon with BFR, potentially queuing up sometime in the early to mid-2020s. The officials confirmed the same and revealing a dramatically-updated iteration of BFR’s spaceship upper stage, CEO Elon Musk cryptically hinted that the private passenger could be Japanese and also confirmed that the spaceship as shown was indicative of a new BFR design.
In 2002, Elon Musk started space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) with primary aim to revolutionise space technology and enable the colonisation of Mars. In 2010, SpaceX became the first private company to successfully launch, orbit, and return a spacecraft to Earth.
The 2010 American superhero film, Iron Man 2 was shot at SpaceX's factory in Hawthorne, California. In February 2018, SpaceX made history by launching Falcon Heavy, carrying Musk's personal Tesla Roadster, into space. The spacecraft has the highest payload capacity of any operational launch vehicle that is currently deployed.
