Salman Khan Blackbuck poaching case verdict: Salman will be jailed

On Thursday, a trial court in Jodhpur will deliver its final verdict in blackbuck poaching case in 1998, thereby deciding whether Salman Khan will walk free from the case or not. On March 28, the final arguments were completed against four other accused, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam. If Salman found guilty in the case, he will be sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment to Jodhpur Central Jail.



Speaking to Media, Race 3 director Remo D’Souza said the entire cast and crew is looking forward to the final verdict of the 19-year old Blackbuck poaching case with a favorable decision.

Salman Khan has been accused for killing two blackbucks in Kankani Village, Jodhpur while shooting for movie ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ in September 1998. Bishnoi Community of Rajasthan filled a case against Salman Khan and other four accused on October 2.

On Thursday, under Section 9 and 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, Salman Khan is sentenced 6 years of imprisonment at Jodhpur Central Jail, which currently houses three high-profile inmates, Malkhan Singh Vishnoi, Asaram Bapu, and Shambhu Lal.


Bishnoi Sabha, who had filed the blackbuck poaching case against Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, and Sonali Bendre, has now decided to appeal against the acquittal of other four co-accused in the same case. Salman has been convicted guilty on Thursday, while other co-accused have all been acquitted of all charges. As Bishnoi is committed to protect the endangered wild life spices remains vigilant against poachers around the area. He will  file the case again against Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Neelam demanding the same punishment as of Salman’s because they all four are equally responsible for the blackbuck poaching.
