‘Raazi’ is based on a true story of a Kashmiri Muslim girl Sehmat whose life changes when her father Hidayat Khan seals her fate as an Indian Spy. Sehmat undergoes precise spy training under Indian Intelligence agent Khalid Mir before tying nuptial knot with Pakistani Army Officer Iqbal Syed. Sehmat gradually assimilates into her in-laws to uncover vital information while keeping her real motive unknown to them.

Director Meghna Gulzar has done full justice to the concept of the film. It’s a perfect blend of interpersonal drama, thrill, action, and explosive emotions.

Movie review:

It’s a must watch movie, especially at a time when hate and anger between India and Pakistan, a film like Raazi needs to be made. For peeping into the Valley and finding a true-blue patriot, for looking across the border and finding decency, and for giving Kashmiri embroidery as worn by Alia an authentic, modern, featherlight touch.
