NASA’s spacecraft set to probe the Sun

US’s space agency NASA is all set to launch a spacecraft, Parker Solar Probe on early Saturday morning to achieve the new ambitious aim to touch the Sun. The spacecraft will explore the sun more closely than ever before. The spacecraft will be launched from Cape Canaveral and will fly to the Sun through extremely hot solar atmosphere. In an effort to unlock the mysteries of the Sun, spacecraft is designed with a heat shield to resist temperatures of 1,370 degrees Celsius. The spacecraft is roughly the size of a small car, it will get nearly seven times close to the Sun and coming within just 3.8 million miles of its surface. Each flyby will provide a gravity boost, drawing the spacecraft ever closer to the sun and flying straight into the corona — the sun’s outermost atmosphere. Scientists expect that this $1.5 Billion worth mission will not only shed light on the Sun’s atmosphere, but, will also help the scientists to understand and predict space weather.
