Mika Singh files Police complaint, cash and gold worth Rs.3 Lakh stolen

Mika Singh’s manager had lodged a police complaint at Oshiwara police station reporting a theft of cash and gold worth Rs.3 lakh from the singer’s residence. The complaint was filed by Mika’s manager on his behalf. Police have started the investigation.
The report says that jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh and Rs 1 lakh cash was stolen from Mika’s Mumbai residence between 3pm and 4pm on Monday. In the initial investigation, Police has suspected close aide Ankit Vasan, who in the CCTV footage was seen entering and leaving the house at the said time of the robbery. The suspect has been missing since then.
“His manager has informed us that they were unable to trace Ankit’s whereabouts following the theft on Sunday evening,” a police officer from Oshiwara police station was quoted as saying to the leading daily. Delhi-based Ankit Vasan use to manage and organize Mika’s projects and live shows and had unrestricted access to the singer’s apartment as he had been working with the singer for over a decade. “Even the building’s watchmen were familiar with the suspect and so, he was never stopped from entering or leaving the building,” the officer said. A case under section 381(theft by clerk or servant) of the IPC has been registered against Ankit.
