Kudugunta Sneha Reddy, graduated student of IIT-Hyderabad from batch 2017-18, has bagged a whopping annual package of Rs.1.2 crore from Google. This is the highest package received by a student in the history of IIT-Hyderabad since it was established in 2008.
Sneha Reddy (22) is Computer Science graduate and has also bagged a gold medal honour by the Institute on the eve of 7th Convocation ceremony held on Sunday. President of India Ram Nath Kovind presented the gold medal to Reddy under ‘Excellence in Academics and Co-curricular activities’.
She was also conferred with convocation Certificate by the Institute. Director of IIT-H, Prof UB Desai and faculty praised the achievement and success of the student who made IIT-H proud.
The highest package was offered to a student until May was Rs 40 lakh and the average package stood at Rs 11.5 lakh.
A native of Vikarabad, Sneha Reddy's father Sudhakar works in a software firm in Hyderabad. IIT faculty were all praise for the student, who made the institution proud. Sneha Reddy said that IIT-Hyderabad has encouraged its students towards experiments and "helped her a lot getting selected for Google's project”.
