Cong says chauhan needs medical aid; Sends him almonds, chyawnprash, eye-drops

Days after former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan accused the state ruling party of lying on farm loan waiver; Congress workers sent him a parcel of eye-drop bottles, Patanjali’s Chyawanprash and packets of almond.
The parcel that reached the former CM bore the address of his residence. Congress leader Narendra Saluja, speaking on this said, “We wanted him to know the reality but it is suffering from memory loss, hearing impairment and defective eyesight. We are sending this to cure him.”
He added, “We met him and gave him a list of 21 lakh farmers whose loans have been waived but still he is saying that no loans have been waived. Similarly, he took out a procession carrying a lantern on his shoulders in an area which was already lit with electricity.”
It may be recalled that on Tuesday, senior congress leader Suresh Pachouri along with state minister PC Sharma and other Congress leaders dumped several documents at Chauhan’s residence as “proof” of fulfilment of pre-poll promise made by Congress. The Congress claimed to have waived off loans of 21 lakh farmers after coming to power in December 2018.
However, Chauhan rejected the documentary evidence terming it as “bundles of lie”.
Chouhan said he “hadn’t opened” the packages and would like to have Congress leaders eat the almonds instead. However, taking a dig at them he added, “They are sending me Chyawanprash from Patanjali, this shows their faith in Baba Ramdev, I have not opened it, will feed them.”
