Neeraj Chopra bags 4th gold in row in last 5 months in Javelin throw event. Neeraj is the youngest to secure the top position on the podium with record 88.06 Javelin throw in Asian Games 2018 (day 9). Chopra also bagged gold at Commonwealth Games earlier this year emulating the legendary Milkha Singh to become just the second athlete in the history of Indian sports. Singh won the gold at the CWG and Asian Games in 1958.

Neena Varakil also bagged silver in women’s long jump while Sudha Singh finished second in women’s 3000m steeplechase event. Dharun Ayyasamy also finished second in men’s 400m hurdles event.

More medals are in row on Day 10 as star shuttler PV Sindhu will battle for gold in the women’s singles final in Indonesia. While Indian Men’s and Women’s archery teams will compete for gold in final matches.

Another medal is assured in men’s table-tennis event as the team heads towards the semifinals of the Asian Games 2018.
