Arjun Tendulkar claimed his first International Wicket
Arjun Tendulkar Master-Blaster Indian Cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who is a left-arm fast bowler, took his first International wicket for India U-19 against Sri Lanka U-19 during the first youth test opening day at the Nondescripts Cricket Club ground, Colombo. On the last ball of Arjun’s second over, he trapped Sri Lankan player Kamil Mishara leg before wickets. This was his first international wicket. Arjun was selected for Indian Cricket Team unde-19 for his constant good performance in junior cricket. Indian U-19 cricket team prepared for the match, ahead of tour to Sri Lanka, under the supervision of former Indian cricketer and U-19 coach WV Raman and former Indian first-class cricketer and head coach of the Assam cricket team, Sanath Kumar. After watching the Arjun’s international wicket former Indian cricketer and Sachin Tendulkar’s childhood friend Vinod Kambli posted an emotional message on social media, “Tears of joy rolled down when I saw this, have seen him grow up and put in the hard work in his game. Could not be more happy for you, Arjun. This is just the beginning, I wish you tons and ton of success in the days to come. Cherish your first wicket and enjoy the moment”. Last year, Arjun was selected in Mumbai's Under-19 one-day cricket team for the JY Lele Invitational Tournament held in September. He had also represented Mumbai in the Under-14, Under-16, and Under-19 teams during the Cooch Behar Trophy 2017-18.
